Cher commission in support of “Free the Wild”

CHER ART by Zoobs Ansari

In October 2019, Zoobs was commissioned by the singer and actress Cher to photograph her performance during her ‘Here We Go Again’ tour at the O2 in London.   These photographs will form the basis for unique artworks that will be used to raise funds and awareness for “Free The Wild”, a charity for animals which she co-founded with Mark and Gina Cowne.

FTW endeavours to stop the suffering of wild animals in captivity and ultimately find a way to release them into sanctuaries or better equipped zoos. The charity also assists with the betterment of existing zoos and empowering staff to care for and protect the animals in their care.

FTW aims to provide education and support in terms of professional carers, handlers and vets and to introduce augmented and virtual reality into establishments as a replacement for some species with a view to ultimately eliminating animal trafficking.
